Update On EFCC Recruitment

Late last year, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) initiated recruitment procedures across the federation. At first, even some popular and credible online news agencies tagged it a job scam but after a while, the various zonal offices accepted CVs and credentials from applicants that met the requirements of which the most outstanding was the age restriction on 27 years as at the time of the application limiting applicants to those born on or after 1990.

Physical verification exercises were conducted followed by a written examination in stipulated centres across the federation. This year, the commission will release the results and later call successful applicants for an interview session. Applicants that would be invited for the interview would primarily be those that were able to get a score of above 50% (though some sources append the marginal scores to up to 70% to to cut down on the numbers).

After the interview, there would be further verifications of credentials although this would be carried out incognito by the commission, this is where fabrications of certificates may result in dire consequences. Successful applicants would be required to travel to Abuja and later Kaduna State where a 9-month camp training will commence.

The examination result is expected to be released for onward invitation for interviews in about a couple of weeks or more depending on the readiness of the commission.
